Summer parent meeting

Please join the new principal and me for a parent meeting on Thursday, July 23rd at 6pm in the Holy Trinity Parish hall.

The new leadership team has been busy preparing Holy Trinity School for success in 2026 and beyond.  Here are some milestone accomplishments:

  1. A new vision.  Please click here to read the vision, which guides every decision we make for the school.  Our motto is "A family of families."

  2. A new website.  The website has been simplified and improved in visual quality.  The home page is designed for prospective families.  Key links you will need can be found by clicking on the top menu item, "Current Families."

  3. Increase of one core teacher.  New enrollment projections allow us to have 8 core teachers for our 10 levels.  Seventh and eighth grade will have separate teachers.  The only combined classes will be 3rd/4th and 5th/6th.  Even with our combined classes, we will have the smallest class sizes of any east county Catholic schools.

  4. New staff.  Marreila Ronquillo will be the 7th grade homeroom and Math and Science teacher.  Sarah Lohman will be the 8th grade homeroom and ELA and Social Studies teacher.  Reggie Puertollano is our new PE teacher and will teach 7th grade religion. He will also supervise children during breaks.  We are close to hiring the new 5th and 6th grade teacher.  All of the new hires are exceptional people, aligned with the vision of the school, and will be excellent teachers for your children.

  5. A new advisor, Dr. Nour Nona, the Founder and Principal Consultant of Nona Instructional Systems, where he supports schools with school improvement, instructional systems, academic planning, enrollment strategy, teacher support, and student success. He brings experience across K–12 teaching and will provide all of our teachers expert support and guidance that has been lacking in years past.

  6. A new logo.  The new logo you see on the website is the words HT integrated into a symbol called the fleur-de-lis.  For many centuries, this stylized three-petal flower has been a Christian symbol of the Holy Trinity.  It also looks really cool.

What is in progress?

  1. The school schedule and calendar are almost ready.  This is a very complicated process which involves many factors, including the availability of our part-time teachers.  As soon as these are ready, we will share them with you.  For now, we can say for sure that our half days (pick-up at 12:30) will be Fridays instead of Wednesdays.  Mass will be Tuesday morning.  On Tuesdays, children will check in to their classes no later than 8 for their usual morning ritual and then proceed as a class to the church.  We hope most of you will join us for that Mass.  Daily Mass time for the parish will be changed to 8:15am to better accommodate the school schedule, and to allow me to offer confessions on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30-8:05am.  You can conveniently drop off your children and get your soul cleansed!

  2. Reviewing the school uniforms and community formation on the virtue of modesty.

  3. Reviewing the school policy for mobile devices.

  4. Reviewing the school disciple policy.

  5. Planning a 15-day program to build our faculty as a team and support them to be excellent teachers.  This will take place in early August.

  6. Budgeting. We want a chance to explain to you the basics of the school budget so you can better understand how that affects what we can do at the school.

We want your feedback on all of this, so please provide it by attending the meeting.  I look forward to seeing all of you there.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Anthony Saroki
